“Designing cutlery is a great challenge for me as a designer, and one that I enjoy.
It is a pleasure that I savour.
It is a fact that cutlery is literally ‘held’ when in use. It is an important extension of the hands and an aesthetic aid in the process of dining.
For me, cutlery is not just a tool, but also an aesthetic instrument that is inextricably linked to the fascinating world of table culture. Many aspects of ergonomics and functionality have to be combined with an inspiring design language.
During this design process, which always begins analogously for me, I thought a lot about natural structures in the plant world.”
