We have been working intensively and in detail for almost four years to develop the JARDIM collection to a point where we were really satisfied with it. I wanted to work with a new Portuguese ceramic mass that reflects the dark red-brown colour of the Alentejo soil. At the same time, the fired mass had to be very robust and fully functional for the catering industry. We found a great partner in Portugal who can process this red clay and fire it at high temperatures. At the same time, we found a way to realise our very puristic and strict design language in a very beautiful joint creative process. We all fell in love with the wonderful possibilities of colour glaze and the Portuguese tradition of ceramic colours.
